what to wear guide
Coordination is key
Complement each other, don't match each other. When the group wears the same color, sometimes it can blend together.
This isn't the time to stand out from your group! Coordinate amongst your group. Think in terms of tones of: Blues, earthy, neutrals, and pastels. Try to choose colors that match the interior of your home.
Start with Mom, family outfit will fall into place if moms outfit is ready. Maxi dresses add movement to the photos, and are absoluely stunning!
Keep it simple and comfy
On a warm day, go for something light and airy. On a cooler day, go for something warmer and cozy. Avoid wearing clothes that are too tight or too loose.
Don't forget to accessorize, hats, jewelry, sunglasses, and jackets.
Reason for the season
Pair colors that compliment each other and match the season or time of year your in. For Spring, go for whites, beiges, pastels, pinks, or pops of denim. For Autumn, opt for teals, burgundy, mustard yellow, browns, and khaki. Shades of green look classy year round.
Avoid like the plauge
Please, please, please avoid anything with large logos or graphics. Patterns tend to be overwhelming and make the photos appear too busy. Subtle smaller patterns work best. Limit yourself to one pattern at a time, light floral or flannels if they complement the location.
Don't forget, your feet may be in the photo, keep your choice of footwear in mind. Select shoes based on the location.
